PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Exciting news to share!
Happy New Year, members! Here’s hoping everyone had a memory-making holiday season and is coming
into 2019 with an optimistic outlook.
Late January, the credit union will mail all members a notice and a ballot requesting approval to move
forward with our plans to become a State-Chartered credit union. The opportunities this change will create
for us is very important to the credit union now and in the foreseeable future. It is our hope all of you will
look upon this request favorably and support it.
On behalf of the credit union board and management, I would like to congratulate C. Patrick Kaltenbach
on his retirement from the board of directors effective November 1, 2018. As a volunteer, Pat dedicated
20 years of service to Catholic Federal. There have been many important decisions made over this time and Pat had a positive
influence on them all. We will miss Pat’s discernment and infectious sense of humor at the monthly meetings; however, at the
same time, wish him all the best in retirement. Thank you, Pat!
With great enthusiasm, we welcome Diane M. Fong as our newest director. Diane is very familiar with non-profit organizations
as the current President and CEO of the Bay Area Community Foundation. Our credit union has partnered with Diane in the
past on the downtown Saginaw event “Run For Your Heart Community Races†when she was Executive Director of the Pulse
3 Foundation. Let there be no doubt her fresh perspective will be a great asset as the board guides us in the years ahead.
Welcome, Diane!
Our annual membership meeting will be on February 23, 2019 at Horizon’s Conference Center. Watch for the ticket sale
information included in our newsletter as I would love to see as many of you there as possible. Besides knowing how to run a
great credit union, we also know how to throw a great party!
Thank you for your membership!
