Update: November 20, 2020

Jolt's Euclid, Bay City location drive-thru will re-open on Saturday, November 21st. Starting Monday,  November 23rd the Euclid, Bay City; Cass, Bay City; Center, Essexville and Washington, Saginaw locations lobbies will be closed due to a shortage in staffing. The drive thru at these locations will be open normal hours. To book an in-branch appointment at these locations for a loan, new account or other member service item contact the credit union at (800) 798-2328 or book online here. The main office at 6180 State Street, Saginaw will continue to offer lobby hours Monday - Friday, 10am - 3pm and the drive thru is open normal hours.

Jolt Credit Union will continue our limited office hours of 10:00am-3:00pm.  With COVID-19 cases on the rise this is the most prudent course of action to serve our membership in the safest way possible.  We will continue to watch the situation closely and respond accordingly keeping the health and safety of everyone in mind if / when future adjustments are made.  Electronic and drive thru services are available and encouraged during this challenging time. UPDATE: October 2, 2020

Thank you for your patience and understanding while Jolt’s lobbies were temporarily closed at the 1504 Cass Avenue, Bay City and 3105 Center Avenue, Essexville locations as we worked with staff who were experiencing child-care challenges with area schools returning with remote learning at the beginning of the school year. We are happy to report, effective Monday, October 5th both lobbies will re-open Monday – Friday, 10am – 3pm.

The credit union is working with staff experiencing child-care challenges as area schools return to school with remote learning. We will be temporarily closing our lobbies at the 1504 Cass Avenue, Bay City and 3105 Center Avenue, Essexville locations starting Tuesday, September 8th.

We understand that returning to restricted lobby access is both inconvenient and disappointing for members. We apologize and appreciate your understanding as we work through these staffing challenges.

  • The drive thru will continue to be open at both locations.

Jolt is happy to announce after much planning and consideration, our branch lobbies will reopen with limited hours from 10am – 3pm, Monday – Friday for teller transactions (coin machines will not be available) and by appointment only for member services beginning Monday, June 15th. Our drive thru and Member Contact Phone Center will continue to be open normal hours. For your safety and convenience, you can continue to do most account services over the phone or electronically.

The safety and health of you and your finances remain a top priority. With this announcement comes some changes to the typical in-branch experience to ensure the continued safety of our members and employees. Although the look and feel will be different, rest assured, our focus is still on providing a great experience for our members. Changes include:

  • New branch capacity has been set to maintain social distance. When we are above capacity, members will be asked to wait outside. There will be a greeter at the door to help manage this and floor 6-foot guides to display social distancing guidelines.
  • Credit Union staff will wear masks and members must wear one to enter the branch. We may ask you to remove your mask briefly, so we can identify who you are.
  • There will be plexiglass germ shields at the teller stations and member service desks. Teller stations will be vacant every other one.
  • Members will be limited to 2 per party.
  • Temporary removal of refreshment stations and suckers.
  • Heightened sanitization practices including recurring cleaning routines and nightly deep sanitization.
  • We will continue to have a mandatory health screening for all credit union staff every day when we come to work. Co-workers who are experiencing any relevant symptoms, have been exposed to high-risk situations due to travel, and/or have knowledge of exposure to the virus will be asked to stay home from work.

Jolt Joins MiMortgage Relief Partnership: UPDATE April 24, 2020

Jolt Credit Union has joined financial institutions across Michigan in the creation of the MiMortgage Relief Partnership that Governor Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) announced to provide a three-month mortgage payment relief option to homeowners experiencing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For many homeowners with mortgages, there’s help. But first, assess your situation.

  • If you can pay your mortgage, pay your mortgage.
  • If you can’t pay your mortgage, or can only pay a portion, contact our mortgage department at (800) 798-2328 ext. 159. Any members who are facing a financial hardship related to COVID-19 are encouraged to call as well.

Prior to signing on to the MiMortgage Relief Partnership, Jolt had already helped many members who were facing financial difficulties making their mortgage payment.

As a result of the CARES Act, the IRS is distributing stimulus checks to taxpayers starting this week. We do not know when your payment will arrive, but have information that can help! To find out when your payment will arrive visit https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments

  • The funds will be direct deposited to the same account set up for your 2019 (0r 2018) IRS refund.
  • If you need assistance accessing your account via Online & Mobile Banking to check for a deposit, contact us.
  • If you have questions specific to stimulus payments and did not file taxes in 2018 and 2019, visit https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here
  • If your account has been closed since your last IRS refund, the transaction will be rejected and you will need to contact the IRS.

Skip a Pay Fee Waived*
We’re waiving the fee on our Skip a Pay* program now through May 31, 2020. You can skip a payment on your eligible consumer loan without paying a fee, so you can keep you with your financial responsibilities during this trying time.

At Jolt Credit Union, your wellness and financial well-being are our top priority as we face the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. We are taking extra precautions at Jolt Credit Union to keep our staff and members safe, secure and healthy that we want to share with you.

To keep our workplace safe and free from infection, we are taking the following precautionary steps.

  • We've enhanced the thoroughness of cleaning at all locations.
  • Hand sanitizer wipes are available in all locations.
  • We will discontinue our beverage stations in our locations temporarily.
  • Jolt employees are being asked to stay home if they are not feeling well and have been provided with the CDC’s guidelines for preventing the spread of the virus. In addition, all staff have also received extra personal days off in the event sickness occurs.

Our branches, member support team and 24/7 remote channels remain available to you without interruption. Our goal is to provide you with uninterrupted service. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is advising the public to stay home when sick and avoid close contact with people who are sick.
