$100,000 to Fight Hunger
Hunger doesn’t wait and neither do we.
Jolt Credit Union is proud to commit $100,000 to the Hunger Solution Center Capital Campaign, supporting the Saginaw East Side Soup Kitchen and Hidden Harvest as they take on a bold expansion.
Every day, these two organizations turn compassion into action serving thousands of hot meals, rescuing millions of pounds of food, and making sure it reaches families who need it most throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. But their kitchens, dining rooms, and storage shelves are stretched to the limit. Our gift helps build the bigger facility they need to keep nourishing our community for years to come.
Jolt doesn’t just write checks, we roll up our sleeves and ask, what else can we do! When it comes to tackling hunger in our community, we’re ready to work side by side with the people and organizations making a difference.
-
In November, Jolt team members will join the Hunger Solution Center’s community-wide “Pass the Plate initiative. This is a challenge that invites everyone to donate the cost of a daily indulgence. Think your morning Starbucks, a quick fast-food run, a restaurant lunch, or that extra scoop of ice cream. It’s a simple swap with a powerful and deeply meaningful payoff for our neighbors in need.
- Starting right now, every staff member in every branch and department will roll up their sleeves to volunteer at the Saginaw East Side Soup Kitchen. Our people love putting heart into action, and this is one more way we can make a real difference where we live and work.
- And cap off our efforts, we’ll host a non-perishable food drive during November 3rd-14th. It’s one more way we can stand with families who need a hand.
At Jolt, we don’t just focus on financial well-being, we care about human well-being. And together, we can make sure that hope is always on the menu.
