You pledge your funds that are at Jolt, either in a savings account or certificate account, as collateral for the loan and you get the best of both worlds - money you borrow at a lower interest rate while still earning dividends on your pledged funds.

The loan rate is 3% - 4% higher than the interest you are currently earning on your savings account or certificate of deposit depending on the loan term.
